Sharp Aquos R6 with 1 inch Camera Sensor and 240Hz Display

Japan’s SHARP has unveiled their latest smartphone, the Sharp Aquos R6. Although not as popular in the smartphone world, Sharp is a leader in home appliances, including televisions.

First we will talk about the display of this Sharp Aquos R6. The 6.6 inch display is the world’s first WUXGA + IGZO OLED display with 1Hz – 240Hz adaptive refresh rate. This 1Hz-240Hz adaptive refresh rate is important for a smooth user experience as well as power saving. With a resolution of 1,260 x 2,730px, this display has a peak brightness of 2000 nits. The Sharp Aquos R6 is one of the best smartphones on the market today.

The next under display fingerprint sensor is Qualcomm’s 3D Sonic Max Sensor, which won the 2021 CES Innovation Award. This 3D Sonic Max Sensor is 17 times larger than the original 3D Sonic sensor and 9 times larger than the Gen 2 sensor.

Now let’s talk about the camera which is the most important part of this Aquos R6. This is the first smartphone in recent history to use a 1 inch sensor. The Panasonic Lumix CM1 was the first smartphone to come with a camera with a 1 inch sensor. That was in 2014. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra has one of the largest sensor cameras in recent smartphones. It has a 1 / 1.12 inch sensor.

Developed by Leica and Sharp, the camera setup features a Leica Sumicron 7P lens (f / 1.9). The main camera with a pixel value of 20MP also includes EIS feature. In addition to the main camera, a ToF sensor is also included. It also includes a 12MP selfie camera.

Powered by Android 11, the Sharp Aquos R6 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 5nm SoC with Adreno 660 GPU. It is powered by a 5000mAh battery. It also has IPX8 water and dust resistance certification. However, no mention has been made of the price yet.
